I’m not sure exactly how I feel about the results of last night’s election in the US.
On the one hand, I’m tremendously glad for Barack Obama, who I think is a terrific politician and seems to be a good man.
On the other, I think that ‘big government’ is exactly the wrong thing for the world right now. I’m afraid that with a Democratic executive and House, there will be far too much meddling and intervention in the current economic situation. I strongly believe that business needs to sort this out on its own, and capitalism will right itself.
